Our class is open enrollment. You are welcome to join us anytime during the 14-week series as long as space is available. Please contact us so we can look forward to greeting you.
We are here to help those who have experienced separation or divorce. All of our facilitators have personally experienced a separation or divorce and through attending a DivorceCare ministry have healed and want to help others start their healing.
Whether you have been separated 1 day, or divorced for over 10 years, consider this your personal invitation to join our group. We are a safe place to start your healing. New sessions start every January and August, but please join us at any time during the Spring or Fall semesters. If you have been a participant in a previous DivorceCare, and would like to come again, you are most welcome.
We offer the DC4K program for children grades K-4, which runs concurrently with DC. Please see our DC4K site for more info.
Additionally, we also have a program for 5th - 7th graders & 8th - 12th graders. These groups also run concurrently with DivorceCare and DC4K, and are a little more informal, making it comfortable for teens to open up in discussions. Many of our leaders for our teen group experienced either a separation or the divorce of their parent's marriage during childhood or adolescence.
We now also offer a program for 18-24-year-olds. More info about these programs can be found on our church's website http://www.blue-ridge.org/
Here are just a few of the topics that we'll cover over the 13 sessions.
1. What's happening to me?
2. Facing my anger
3. Loneliness/depression
4. Financial survival
5. Kidcare
6. New relationships
7. Forgiveness
