Is DivorceCare offered for kids or teens?
For children
DivorceCare has a companion ministry for children ages 5–12 called DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K). This is a great place for children to find help and healing as they walk through the divorce or separation of their parents. To find a group near you and to find out more about the ministry, please go to www.dc4k.org.
For teens
DivorceCare does not have a program for teens, but many teens benefit by volunteering at a DivorceCare for Kids program. You can also contact DivorceCare churches in your area directly to see if they offer a different program for teens.
We recommend these two resources (both are Christ-centered and biblically based):
The Journey: Divorce Through the Eyes of a Teen, developed by Krista Smith, a former DC4K leader
Dealing with Divorce: Finding Direction When Your Parents Split Up, developed by Elizabeth Oates, one of our experts in our DivorceCare materials
