Carnforth Free Methodist Church

Are you struggling with the pain of separation or divorce? Are you in a place of loneliness, depression, anger and isolation? These are the normal symptoms of the emotional pain of family breakdown?
Perhaps your friends and family around want to help you, but don't know how to. Are you struggling to come to terms with your situation? We know it seems such a long hard road to recovery!
We are a small and friendly group run by a church in Carnforth, with a heart for families who have gone through the hurt and pain of separation or divorce. Single people from the breakup of long term partnerships are also welcome. The group is run by Julie and Colin Burrow, who have experienced divorce and have found healing and hope. You don't have to be a Christian to come, and will find the resources and company helpful in both a practical and emotional way.
The course is donation based only, no formal charge. Here are some comments from participants from previous courses: "It felt like being part of a family, where everybody spoke and understood the same language, surrounded by love, with God alongside."
"Support, comfort and guidance"
"Knowing that you are not alone and others feel the same"
"I felt enlightened and positive" by the experience.
"It helped me to address issues amongst friends with whom I could share my concerns and worries without fear of criticism and condemnation. When other friends have had enough of listening to my problems I know that my dc friends are always there to listen and offer support and practical help."
" I was stuck after getting divorced 12 years ago, because of DC I am moving on"
