If you're separated or divorced, your life can be lonely, stressful, and may even seem hopeless, but there IS hope and help for you and your children. The Christ-centered program of DivorceCare for adults and DivorceCare4Kids (DC4K) is a wonderful caring environment that offers God's help and healing for you and your family.
These support sessions feature practical suggestions, guidance and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, experts in divorce-related care and people who have experienced exactly what you are going through now.
These sessions are offered by Salem Lutheran Care Ministries in the Community Center and are led by caring people who have been where you are now. Children attending DC4K should be able to read in order to get the most out of the sessions. They will experience fun activities focused on understanding what's happening in their lives with other kids who, just like they, are dealing with the pain of a divorce or separation.
Childcare for infants through 5 years old is available in Noah's Nursery for $5 per child with a maximum of $10.
The registration cost of $15.00 per adult and child covers activity books and snacks. We can work with you on a registration fee payment plan, if necessary, for anyone who might need this.
Please take that most important step of reaching out and asking for help to let God begin healing your pain and getting you ready for a rich rewarding future as a whole healed person who can live a life filled with healthy relationships with all those around you.
Call the main church number 281-351-8223 and ask to speak with Lisa Vann to register, or email her using the contact form. The Divorce Care program leader is Paula Hickman who can be reached at 281-451-1501 if Lisa is not available to answer questions.
